1. About Books by Temi

Books by Temi is an online bookstore offering books authored by Temilade Salami and other products that may be made available through our official sales channels. We serve customers within Nigeria and selected international destinations.

2. Eligibility and Use of Our Website

By placing an order, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into a purchase agreement or have obtained the necessary consent from a parent or legal guardian.

All orders are subject to availability and acceptance. If a product becomes unavailable after payment, we will contact you to arrange an appropriate alternative or refund.

4. Pricing and Currency

Nigerian Customers

Products purchased for delivery within Nigeria are priced in Nigerian naira (₦). Applicable product prices and delivery charges will be displayed during checkout before payment.

International Customers

Our standard international selling price for physical books is £20 per book, inclusive of standard shipping to supported destinations. This pricing applies to the United Kingdom, United States, Canada and supported European countries.

Our international base price is set in British pounds sterling. Where local currency conversions are displayed or processed, the exchange rate applied by the payment provider may affect the final amount in the customer’s local currency. We do not impose an additional standard delivery fee on eligible international orders.

Customs duties, import taxes and other government charges, where applicable, may remain payable by the customer unless stated otherwise.

Pricing Changes

We may update our product prices from time to time. Changes will not ordinarily affect orders that have already been accepted and paid for, except where an adjustment is permitted by law or expressly agreed with the customer.

5. Orders and Payment

Customers must provide accurate billing, contact and delivery information when making a purchase. All orders are subject to successful payment authorisation and confirmation.

We use payment service providers to facilitate online payments. We reserve the right to decline or cancel orders where there is a reasonable indication of fraud, payment irregularity, unavailability or a material pricing error.

Where payment has already been received for an order that we cannot fulfil, we will issue an appropriate refund.

6. Shipping and Delivery

For Nigerian orders, delivery fees vary by location, with a standard ₦7,000 fee for eligible packages weighing 0–2 kg outside Abuja.

For qualifying international orders, standard shipping is included in the £20 per-book selling price.

Delivery timeframes are estimates rather than guarantees unless we expressly agree otherwise or applicable law requires a particular deadline.

7. Returns, Refunds and Cancellations

Our Return & Refund Policy explains how we handle order cancellations, defective products, incorrect items, damaged deliveries and other refund requests.

We generally do not provide discretionary refunds for change-of-mind purchases, except where mandatory legal rights apply. Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts consumer protections that cannot lawfully be waived.

8. Digital Products and E-Books

Books by Temi offers digital books (e-books) directly through our website, powered by Khaime. Customers can browse, purchase and pay for e-books securely on our website. Following successful payment, purchased digital books will be accessible through the customer’s account portal.

Customers can log in to their portal to access and read their purchased materials. Digital purchases are intended for personal use only. Purchasing an e-book grants the customer a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and read the content.

Customers may not reproduce, redistribute, resell, share or commercially exploit purchased digital materials without prior written permission from Books by Temi. Access to purchased digital materials remains subject to our website’s terms and applicable copyright laws.

9. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the written content, book titles, original illustrations, branding, graphics, website materials and other protected intellectual property associated with Books by Temi belong to their respective rights holders.

Purchasing a book gives you ownership of the physical copy or the applicable licence to a digital copy. It does not transfer the underlying copyright or commercial publishing rights. No material may be copied, reproduced, distributed or commercially exploited without the appropriate permission, except where permitted by law.

10. Bulk and Corporate Orders

We welcome enquiries for bulk purchases, educational institutions, organisations, corporate teams, book clubs and events. Bulk orders may have separate pricing, availability, fulfilment arrangements and delivery timelines.

Any special terms will be communicated and agreed before the order is confirmed.

11. Customer Reviews and Submissions

Where customers submit reviews, testimonials or other content, they are responsible for ensuring that such submissions are lawful, accurate and do not infringe the rights of others.
